How to fish it

Run a 9–12 ft leader with 5X–6X and make reach or slack-line casts to feed the drift along seams and rise rings. Treat the post and hackle only (keep the abdomen untreated so it hangs). If fish follow but won’t eat, drop one size or add a gentle lift at the end of the drift to suggest an emerging take-off.

Care

Blot dry after a fish, then revive with a powder/shake desiccant. Use minimal gel/paste on the post and hackle only—avoid the abdomen to preserve that in-the-film posture.
